Animal Focused offers a range of educational consultancy services, including developing, designing, and creating content for animal welfare focused courses, qualifications and assessments, both for online and face to face delivery.

Vicky holds a BSc in Animal Science, and is an experienced animal welfare lecturer and education manager. With experience working with organisations including Pearson BTEC, City & Guilds and Ifate, Vicky brings a wealth of curriculum development and subject specific knowledge to all projects.

Educational Consultancy: Dogs in school support

With increasing numbers of schools having dogs on site for therapeutic purposes Animal Focused offers a range of support services to ensure the welfare of the dog and the safety of all staff and pupils.

From bespoke risk assessments and animal welfare policies to staff CPD on dog behaviour and managing pupil - dog and pupil interactions.

We also offer educational sessions at schools, care homes and community groups across Northamptonshire, on the topic of dog safety, helping individuals develop an understanding of dogs and their behaviour to help keep everyone safe and reduce the occurrence of dog bites.

Training and Assessment     

Animal Focused offers bespoke training, coaching and quality assurance for pet professionals, animal care organisations and Local Authority Officers.

We offer bespoke packages to meet your business’s needs, covering topics including staff inductions, safe manual handling, policy development and animal care and welfare. We support businesses to raise standards through quality assurance audits and reviews.

We work with City of London Animal Health Inspectors to deliver online and face to face training to Local Authority officers on animal licensing.

Educational Consultancy: International training and course development

Animal Focused offer international services for course development, quality assurance and training. We can support schools and organisations to identify and prepare for delivery of UK vocational qualifications through face to face and online sessions. We can support in new course development, ensuring content and assessments are mapped to the National Occupational Standards.

International clients include Pearson International and the International School of Canine Psychology.

Working with Northampton based Animals in Mind and Easton Way Farm, Animal Focused offers animal assisted interventions and education across a range of settings. Animal Focused works with a range of animal species, specialising in canine assisted therapy and interventions with therapy dog, Hero.

We work in small groups or with individuals, specialising in providing animal assisted therapy to neuro-diverse individuals and those with additional needs. We are recognised by West Northamptonshire Council and are listed on their Local Offer.

Animal assisted interventions can provide numerous benefits to clients including emotional regulation, increased self-esteem and confidence and development of gross motor skills.

Vicky is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of animal management. She truly cares about the importance of high educational standards, together with the sharing of information to improve animal welfare.
